Two Cavaliers top cricketers off to BC Big Bash this Canada Day long Weekend.
Two Top Cavaliers Sports & Social Club cricket players, T.J. Singh & Virendrasinh (Viru) Chauhan, have been selected for the “Saskatchewan Scorpions” elite invitational cricket team set to compete in the prestigious BC Big Bash T20 Cricket tournament this Canada Day long weekend.
Cricket BC will host the second annual BC Big Bash at Newton Athletic Park & Sullivan Heights Park in Surrey, British Columbia. This year 11 teams will compete for the top spot, and $15,000 in cash prizes.
Both Chauhan & Singh are in excellent form at the moment, scoring 48 and 47 runs respectively in their most recent ODP league game vs. Regina’s Strikers. Chaunhan also took two wickets.
Chauhan & Singh will be joined by ten other cricket players from Regina’s United, Saskatoon’s Warriors & Knightriders, as well as some out-of-province players from Winnipeg and Calgary. Former Lions player Sanki James will also be joining the boys.

The Scorpions will not be the only team from Saskatchewan to compete in this year’s tournament. “Sask Riders”, Saskatchewan’s official provincial cricket team will also be taking part in BC Big Bash 2016.
